Shipping Process

At Backyard Ember, we strive to deliver your premium Videl USA products efficiently. Most items ship from our warehouse, ensuring prompt delivery throughout the continental United States. Custom-finished items or manufacturer-direct shipments may require additional processing time.

Made-to-Order Lead Times

For products from The Outdoor Plus:

• We are a MADE-TO-ORDER manufacturer
• We start building once we receive payment
• Components take 1-3 weeks to make
• Complete units take 2-4 weeks to make

Standard Ground Shipping

• Items under 150 pounds typically ship via FedEx, UPS, or similar carriers
• Tracking information will be provided via email once your order ships
• Please inspect all deliveries promptly and report any damage with photos to our customer service team

Standard Freight Shipping

• Items over 150 pounds ship via specialized freight carriers
• Free curbside delivery with lift gate service included
• The carrier will contact you to schedule delivery (valid phone number required)
• Inspect all freight shipments upon delivery and note any damage to the delivery receipt
• Backyard Ember is not responsible for damages not reported at the time of delivery

Shipping Options

• $8.95 Flat Rate Shipping: Orders under $99 ship for just $8.95 within the contiguous 48 states
• Free Standard Shipping: All orders over $99 qualify for free standard shipping within the contiguous 48 states
• Expedited Shipping: Available for most items at additional cost; contact our customer service team regarding the price

Freight Damage

• Customer must notify us within 48 hours of receipt
• If damage is seen upon delivery, REFUSE delivery of the product and let the delivery personnel know of those damages
• Email support@backyardember.com along with any related photos, videos, documents, or any other material that will help with the report

Incorrect Item

• Report the incident within 48 hours of receipt

Return Policy

Return Eligibility

• Items must be unused, unassembled, and in original packaging with all components
• Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery
• Approved returns must be shipped back within 14 days of return authorization

Cancellation Policy for The Outdoor Plus Products

• You have 24-48 hours from when you place your order to cancel without a fee
• Any cancellation AFTER 48 hours will result in a 25% restocking fee and orders will be processed as Store Credit
• Customer is NOT responsible for finalizing their purchase

Non-Returnable Items

• Custom or made-to-order fire features and accessories
• Items that have been used, assembled, or modified
• Clearance or final sale merchandise
• Fire glass, lava rock, and other fire media once opened
• Certain brands or items marked as non-returnable in product description
• NO RETURNS on custom orders from The Outdoor Plus

Qualifying Returns for The Outdoor Plus Products

• To be eligible, you must notify us within 48 hours if you wish to cancel or exchange the product
• A qualifying return applies to a customer who made the order by mistake and must be reviewed by The Outdoor Plus
• Payment will be issued in the form of a check by default
• If customer prefers refund to their credit card, a 3.5% processing fee will be applied (CANNOT BE WAIVED)

Manufacturer Defects & Shipping Damage

• For suspected manufacturer defects, our team will first attempt repair solutions
• If repair isn't feasible, we'll assist with the replacement according to manufacturer warranty terms
• Shipping damage must be noted upon delivery and reported immediately with photos

Return Process

1. Complete our online return request form
2. Include order number and reason for return
3. Our team will review your request (photos may be required)
4. If approved, you'll receive return authorization and shipping instructions
5. Package item securely in original packaging with all components
6. Attach provided return label(s) and ship via specified carrier

Refunds & Fees

• Refunds are processed after item inspection at our warehouse
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable
• Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise specified
• A 25% restocking fee may apply to non-defective returns
• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5-7 business days
